SwimTrek day 4

The main crossing! One of the trip's highlights!

What the travel intinerary neglects to mention:

Swimming before getting out of bed, really :/

But...

this is where we are crossing
and it's a waterway that's busy with tourists during the day, I'd been zooming through there when diving a couple of times the week before, and the coast guard insists us swimmers get an early start, so we will have have crossed the thoroughfare before the day cruises and pleasure boats show up.

We set out before sunrise, and by coincidence we got to see sunrise and moonset at the same time that morning! Was really neat! But, being on a moving boat, none of us managed to get good pics ;)

Here we go!

Swimming in our groups, my group as the slowest set out first, the faster groups catching up with us and passing us during the swim.

Arriving at the other island, Spargi.
We then kept swimming along the coastine going north, and had coffee and a snack on board in the lovely bay we made it to

For our second swim the boats took us to the southernmost corner of the island, from there we swam back north to where we had arrived after crossing.

And yeah, ok, we had to admit that the coast guard weren't wrong

the picturesque, tranquil, romantic beaches we'd swum past in the moring were crowded by now.

Far too early to be so energetic, but worth it for the sunrise/moonset and to avoif the crowds

That's 'silly o'clock' in the morning and as you are on holiday, it probably qualifies as 'even-sillier-o'clock'!

But it does look like it was an amazing experience.
