I was reading the guideline changes the other day - they went through all the new nonsense - and then at the end, the person they were talking to, basically said something to the effect of, "ultimately, there's no point in having rules that nobody is willing to follow"

So it's all face-saving - if the "authorities" aren't going to enforce the rules, and nobody is following them, they will just...change the rules so that it's not obvious how hollow their authority is...

As a person working in the US health care system, I am so upset/disgusted/shocked by this new move by the CDC. Seriously, people, stay home, quit spreading this around.
