Have new UMTS stick and contract; this means I DO have internet access at my flat, albeit rather slow and unrelieable - as in no up- or downloading, no video watching or even trying to open two tabs at the same time, but hey, I can has internet again!!! *bounce*

Anyway, it turns out that the houses on the other side of the road, as in less than 10m from where I'm sitting right now, have internet. There is a proper cable under the road. You just have to dig that out and connect your house to it... which is the landlords job. So, I and my 'housemate' (there's a guy living upstairs) are going to PROD the landlord next week, the landlord who told me that the previous tenants had internet - because yes, I did ask about that before signing the lease!

Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to my day off tomorrow, and then it's just another 7 days of work till I'm going on vacation. I CAN'T WAIT! *BOUNCE*
