Stumbled across a newish bookseries that builds an awesome world and has some engaging characters, with a small, not very active (any more) fandom.

Unerringly I manage to have unpopular opinons about some key issues...

LOL! I can relate to that, definitely. I worked in a male-dominated environment for over 40 years, and in the 80s I was one of 4 women with authority to underwrite; whereas the other 400 were men...!

On the other hand, 10 years earlier as a female I wouldn't have been allowed in the building!

So yes, we sometimes see things differently based on our own experiences.

Political correctness is all well and good, and necessary in some areas, but sometimes I'm told by my sons that I've said something I shouldn't have when I honestly intended no disrespect to anyone. It is hard to keep up with the changes in that area.
