Spoil me

*waves at flist*

ok, I have an odd request: has anyone here read 'A Game of Thrones' or seen what's on TV? 'cuz I wanna be spoiled (I just don't want to read any more - not a fan)...

*bats eyelashes hopefully*

Wikipedia does summaries of the various books

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Song_of_Ice_and_Fire

which ought to ruin it for anyone!

I have neither read it, nor seen the TV - but I did read some rather scathing reviews somewhere, which put me off - particularly given characters like Bran ....

Yeah, that is why I'm so confused... I read the German translation and Stark is still alive by the end of the first book... and I'm so put of by the POV characters (exept the adult male ones... all others make me want to scream) and the utter b******s of the women that I don't want to read further...

I'd be interested to see the first TV episode for curiosity's sake, but the reviews have so far put me off reading the books.

Yeah. I'm not impressed with the book(s), not interested in reading child POVs and angry at the author for having made every single woman an utter bitch...

But yeah, I'd like to watch the first episode for curiosity's sake.

I think the idea is that 'strong woman' equals bitch - especially in fantasy. Women either kick ass, or ... um, cater exclusively for the alpha-male's desires.

These do neither but are unpalatable to me all the same.

The review I read went on about the whinging Bran ... and various weird relationships. I am not tempted

I do abhor all the children's POVs *shudders*

ok..well that's a strange request but if that's what you want lol....

First of all...Ned Stark does die at the end of Game of Thrones...King Joffrey tells one of his knights to cut his head off. So yeah, he's dead. Sansa is kept in King's Landing as hostage.

Jon: Jon is still up at the Wall..by the end of Game of Thrones, all of the Night's Watch decide to go beyond the wall to look for Benjen Stark.

Arya: After seeing her father's head chopped off, Arya gets picked up by one of the Night's Watch recruiting new members in King's Landing. So he takes Arya with him with the intent of bringing her back to Winterfell (of course things don't go according to plan hehehe).

Tyrion: Tyrion becomes the new Hand of the King, as appointed by his father, Tywin Lannister, in his stead. This annoys Cersei and King Joffrey, but oh well...

Catelyn: Is in Riverrun waiting for her father to die...

Danaerys: Khal Drogo dies at the end and as she burns him on a pyre, she takes her 3 stone eggs and puts it in the fire...the three eggs hatch and now Dany has 3 baby dragons! hahaha.

Renly goes off to Storm's End to make his own army because he wants to be king...Stannis at Dragonstone knows that Joffrey is not Robert's son so Stannis also wants to be king....and people of the North proclaimed Robb Stark as the new King in the North.

I think that's about it...hehehehe. I'm on book 3 now too so if you want spoilers on that..just let me know LOL

Right, thank you. I was just so confused that Stark was alive at the end of the book - stupid book arrangement of the German publisher.

*grins* Lennister jnr. might not be too bad a choice for hand, though...

Thank you!
