We can has telephone! And interwebs! And wifi! And emergency box! and doorbell! and camera!
For some reason(TM) it's not possible to connect our phones (and the emergency call box. and the doorbell. and the door camera) to the new router (that we need for the optical fibre cable).
Additional parts have been ordered, the technician will set it up...
... next wednesday.

Why is Germany such a digital wasteland?

*groans* pre-packing this weekend
you know, that stage where you hunt through the house, muttering 'where did x get to, I'm sure I put it there 2 years ago...'
make piles the things you do find in the living room
scour the box with chargers and power cables and try to figure out which one fits that watch you want to use, oh wait, is that the charger for the underwater camera?
remove the back seats from the car you'll be camping in
de- and reassemble the diving gear you want to take, the med surely does not need the cold water equipment... oh, and I expect the use non-DIN valves on the tanks...

Unexpected hurdles:
'my' pool closed last Sunday, so I went to the pool in the 'big city' (80.000 inhabitants!) half an hour away for training this week. (was very surprised how much more of a struggle swimming is there, different setup)
But
that pool closed for repairs yesterday.
So, when I was planning my vacation, I had thought I'd go swimming in the lakes for training as well this summer.
But
one lake after the other got shut down for swimming, contamination with cyanobacteria.
... so now I have to find out if any of them got opened up again to keep training.
Had not expected that.

Yes, I am planning to tell you about the SwimTrek, I really am!
Just have to remember to get online and post ;) *mutters* I swear days had more hours back in the days...
The SwimTrek?
Oh yeah, when I was sailing off Sardinia last year, I noticed these guys swimming about, and thought: oh that looks just like a SwimTrek!
And they were, and there are ones this year, and I'm booked ;)

Well, we had our Worker's Day yesterday, got the day off to go demonstrating ;)

having read too much US news, I left my moblie at home...
... and had some interesting talks about mobile/digital security.
And found this:
Digital Safety in a Dangerous World - Cybersecurity tips for activists and ordinary people surviving a hostile new era
on kickstarter
... I thought that sounds like a good idea
