So, ended up watching Crocodile Dundee 1 and 2 and The Rescuers Down Under and... zapping into Mad Max 2 in the commercial breaks. *headdes ks*
It turned out that - by sheer coincidence (or as a cosmic joke) - both Crocodile Dundee 2 and Mad Max 2 were on tv last night. At least that meant one of my friends (the one who has The Rescuers Down Under on DVD, whyever) got treated to little bits of Mad Max 2 as well.
We started out with The Rescuers Down Under
... which had me whimpering on my seat rather quickly. It's a Disney. It's geographically challenged. *flails* Anthropomorphism WAH!
Needed some pizza for fortification, because next was...
Crocodile Dundee
...which didn't make mw whimper but wince, because political correctness anyone? *wince*
I think it may have been funny when it came out, I remember going to see it in a theater with my parents, when we were on vacation and we had a good time and lots of laughs... but... *wince*
We were prepared for the worst when we switched to Crocodile Dundee 2 on tv...
... and looked at each other in terror when the opening credits rolled...
Written by Paul Hogan, Brett Hogan
Starring Paul Hogan
...
... but we were pleasantly surprised. It was actually much better than Crocodile Dundee the first and we had a good time watching it...
... but for the commercial breaks. *headdesk* Which were filled with Mad Max 2. At least I got to share the suffering this time ;)
Have to find other movies to watch... tbc
