I'm in that bottom photo, although so tiny in the distance as to be impossible to identify.

*is impressed* tell more! Did the way events were presented seem historically correct? Make sense? Or didn't you get any kind of insight into that type of thing? Were you 'real' soldiers, told to 'hurry up and do nothing'? Did you visit the exhibits/store? Did they re-historify the landscape for fliming/fighting?
*contains self* er... did you post anywhere? Haven't see you on lj for a while...
Oh! And do you have any idea who Wellington is and what he's up to?

Most of my posting is on Google+ at the moment, I'm afraid, as it is convenient to use from a mobile device. Google is spying on me anyway, so I might as well.

IIRC the point of that documentary was to show re-enactors preparing for Waterloo. They did have us stand around wasting time for a lot of the day (film crews do that), but there was also a fair amount of drill. The CO was busy explaining things to Mr. Bean, so I ended up doing the job of 2IC and moving the troops around. The landscape, being an old fort, was left as it is.

Concerning Wellington, other than his plan to "beat the French" I don't know what's going on. I will mention it if I hear anything.
