... I needs to talk...
So backstory... I started listening to the audiobook of 'Rivers of London' last year, or possibly the year before, but couldn't deal with the guy who does the voice-acting, so gave up again, just a few minutes in.
Was pretty torn about that, a - don't like to give up on books, b - I like Stephen Fry doing Harry Potter, had no problems listening to the series and James Marsters voice-acting the Dresden Files is just awesome.
Anyway, gave it another shot the beginning of this year, got used to the speaker and have listened to 'Rivers of London' and the next one, 'Moon over Soho' by now...
... now I wanna talk about it...
First of all: judging by the amount of fanfic on ao3 (not much) it's a tiny fandom, which I don't get, as there seems to be plot bunny material of any couleur provided?
Have more issues, anyone interested?

I don't think I have it in me to write in the universe (can't hold that many clever ideas in my tiny brain!), but I can certainly see that you could have tremendous fun with the 'genius loci' and other 'magical' elements
As I lived/worked around a lot of the places mentioned the stories have an added resonance for me. Every time I hear about a leaking water main on the New Kent Road I chuckle and think that 'Nicky' must be in a bad mood. (She turns up later in the series; 'Broken Homes')
