1. Favorite childhood book?
Suppose that has to be a Karl May, my parents read the entire series to me before I started to read myself - several times. (does not admit that I hit them over the head with the books to get them to read)
2. What are you reading right now?
The first installment of the Mongoliad, but it's slow going - hasn't really hooked me.
3. What books do you have on request at the library?
None, I just Take what's there.
4. Bad book habit?
Reading several books at once. One's sitting in the car, another on the sofa, another by the bedside and another by the bathtub...
5. What do you currently have checked out at the library?
Nothing.
6. Do you have an e-reader?
No. I have the kindle software on my laptop and think it sucks - it's so much worse than mobi.
7. Do you prefer to read one book at a time, or several at once?
Um - see #4
8. Have your reading habits changed since starting a blog?
No, why should they???
9. Least favourite book you read this year (so far)?
Snuff by Terry Pratchett (which I regret but...
)
10. Favorite book you’ve read this year?
Hmmm... Roma by Gisbert Haefs (sorry, no translation to English)
11. How often do you read out of your comfort zone?
Not sure I understand the question. I sit and read in front of the pool, waiting for the others to show up for training, in the back of my car, in fast-food-joints... as the true comfort zone is my bathtub ;) I guess I'm reading out of it most of the time!
12. What is your reading comfort zone?
A/my bathtub. Second best is a hammock. On a beach. Beneath palms. With a cocktail supply. And a diveshop nearby... *daydreams away*
13. Can you read on the bus?
Nope, get motion sick then.
14. Favorite place to read?
See #12
15. What is your policy on book lending?
Depends on the person. But I suppose 'yes' if I know where they live... *fondles cattleprod*

My own textbooks yes, othewise only if I really, really, absolutely can't find some sort of page marker.
17. Do you ever write in the margins of your books?
My own textbooks yes.

See #17

Writing, characterisation, has the author done his research?
21. What will inspire you to recommend a book?
Wether I think the person will like it or would profit from reading it.

Inspirational? Inspirational... er... um... Inspiration or Inspire may refer to:

Creative inspiration, sudden creativity when a new invention is created
Inhalation, the movement of air into the lungs, breathing in
Um... dunno...

As in short stories or poems? Christian Morgenstern's Galgenlieder
29. Name a case in which hype ruined your reading experience.
In what way? As in 'Why on earth does eyeryone love this?' Deathly Hallows. Not that the crapilogue of doom didn't ruin what little positive feelings I had for it...
30. How often do you agree with critics about a book?
Not sure. I don't buy/read a book because of what critics say, if that's what you are asking?
31. How do you feel about giving bad/negative reviews?
Well, I say what I think about a book. I do expect the person who asked me wants my opinion/feelings/thoughts about that book and knows me well enough to want my personal take on things.
BLOODY HELL!
I DID FILL OUT THE ENTIRE REST OF THIS BUT LJ ATE IT!
AND IT'S TOO EPIC AND LONG TO DO AGAIN;
