I guess it's time far a
First things first: I'm in charge of getting grandmother ready in the morning and fixing her lunch/dinner at 11:45h, sharp, so I'm in for a week of early nights.
The ankle is still swollen and unbendy, and I have to wear the brace for at least another 3 weeks; I still can't take stairs properly, carry stuff or even walk fast.
Funny thing: least painful is walking barefoot, so I got these shoes:

I'm still trying to elevate the ankle as much as possible, which led to some fun pics...
This is my cousin the Bundeswehr nco, offering to give my ankle acupuncture with the toasting fork

and here I took my deck chairs to a cd-release party cum BBQ

(I am NOT including a link to the bands homepage because really, they are BAD...
I'm only going to their concerts because I actually kind of listen to musik somewhat akin to what they play, and because one of the band members is the husband of my best friend.
I have been to more of their concerts than she has, too.
Which led to the following amusing anecdote:
We were at the cd-release party, gathered around the grill, as the band starts playing in the background.
My best friend, husband of lead guitarrist: EWW what's that noise?
My best male friend and personal biochemicist: Your husband.)
So that's
about what is going on in my neck of the woods...
