Stumbled across a newish bookseries that builds an awesome world and has some engaging characters, with a small, not very active (any more) fandom.

Unerringly I manage to have unpopular opinons about some key issues...

How you perceive a work of fiction is entirely down to your experiences and if anyone disagrees with you that doesn't negate the validity of your viewpoint.

I'm old enough (and fandom-seasoned enough) to not be impressed, just a bit sad, I suppose.
