Still dealing with the cranio-cerebral injury from two and a half years ago...
Turns out I have lost 25% of my visual field. Not yay.
I had been complaining about 'not being able to see properly' after the insult, and was referred to an optometrist by the hospital/rehab klinik I was at, but all that turned up was 'no, there's nothing wrong with her eyes'.

Starting work again (and changing doctors) I kept mentioning I had had a serious visual problem (had learned to deal with it by then, no thanks to the hospital/rehab klinik). Was referred to another optometrist and immediately had two holes in my left retina lasered.

Recently, as a 2 years later check up on that, had a visual field test done. Surprise, surprise, I'm lacking 25% (the entire lower left quarter) of my visual field. The current optometrist(ic?) clinic kept running tests, but have arrived at 'nah, there's nothing wrong with the eyes. Hadn't you told us about a cranio-cerebral injury in the anamnesis?'

So, was back at a neurologist yesterday (not one of the ones I had to deal with after ow). Whith the reports and examination results he can get his hands on (and that's a whole other kettle of fish...), he can't explain why I can't see a fourth of what I should see. So, having am MRI done... in four weeks. And getting talked to about the results... four weeks after...

Have I mentioned the not-yay bit?

*HUGS* and *CLINGS*

That's a nasty delay - but at least they are taking it seriously enough to look into it at last. If rather leisurely!
